For this project in graphics we had to Photoshop our faces into a scene/group of people to pretend we were there. While using Photoshop we had to be careful of many things. First, we had to be careful of the skin tones so we had to match and replace our skin tone with the person you photo shopped your face onto. Next, we had too be careful of the persons face sticking out when it shouldn't because your face should be there. Then, we had to use different tools like the crop tool, color replacement tool, move tool, burn tool, and many more to get our picture to fit perfectly onto this person head. I photoshopped my head onto Louis Tomlinson from One Direction. This project was a lot of fun because I got to try something new and I enjoyed it. It was also cool to pretend I was part of One Direction when in reality I would never meet them let alone take a picture with them. This is all about my Photoshop project and what I did to get my face onto Louis Tomlinson.

The project we did was to create an album cover for a song of our choice. In our album cover we had to post 3 different stages of the background that we did. So, I started with a black background which I used a solid brush. Next, I took a scratchier tool with orange and i went along the black to give it a chalky look. I used orange because in the song it talks about fire and falling apart. Then, I used a tool that was small but chalky like to write the words Happily which is then name of the song. Lastly, I drew the heart with a small pencil tool and colored it in. I also added a filter to make the background look texturized. Before making the album cover you had to create a record label icon. The icon i created was Teal Ribbon Records and you can find the icon on the back page and in the bottom corner. I chose this as my record label because of my aunt. My aunt has Ovarian cancer so I chose to create a record company that allowed all sales to go directly to the cancer research center. That is how i created my album cover and all about it.

For this project we had to create an album cover for a song that we chose out of a hat. The song I recieved was the Ballad of the Absent Mare. For our album cover we had to make a collage of 10 different images. Those images are the water in the background, the horse, the cowboy hat, the horseshoe, the road, the globe. the tree, the bird, and the blue moon. All these pictures contributed to the album cover because they have to do with the song or are images you see when you listen to the song.I used a few tools to help me create this album cover. First I used the magnetic lasso tool to help me cut and move images onto the background. Then, I used the the eraser tool to help get the background to be visible in all the little details. Lastly, I used a filter to make the cloud look dark and dreary. When creating this collage I came upon a few things that caused me to have to rethink what I was trying to create. The major issue that made me rework the entire image was with the layers and background. Within the different layers, layers were locked which didn't allow me to redo the background color or any of the image colors/filters after I saved it. So I had to restart a few times because they weren't working out well/ didn't look that good. Overall this project was fun and interesting because of all the different tools I had to use to create it. That is all about my album cover for the song of the "Ballad of the Absent Mare".

For this project we had to pick one of our album covers we designed and turn it into a T-Shirt by adding new elements and taking elements away. I chose my album cover for the song Happily by One Direction. So I kept the orange boarder around the edge to keep at least one piece of the album cover similar. I changed the text, hearts, and background to make it a little different from the album cover. On my album cover i had one half of a red broken heart but on this design i have two hearts; one big red one and a small black one. The text was changed because on my album cover I wrote the words but on the T-Shirt i typed the words. Lastly, i changed the background. On my album cover the background was black and spotchy but for this design i made it black and foggy to add dramatics. Some of the tools I used to create this project were the paint tool, magnetic lasso tool, and the text/typing tool. These tools allowed for the design to become more unique and different from the actual album cover I created. Redesigning this album cover for the t-shirt was fun because you had to look at your album cover and think about what that person, band, or company would want on the t-shirt if it went on tour. I also liked this project because it allowed for me to get a second chance at designing an album cover. The shirt came out pretty good, and the image transferred well on the white t-shirt. That is all about the process of creating the T-Shirt design, what tools I used, and how I created it to make it different from the album cover.
